BIO

Dave's novels are set in the Arrowhead Region of northeast Minnesota. Here's a favorte shot
he took at Snowbank Lake near the Canadian border.

Snowbank Lake Sunset

Borderline - a John Haig Thriller was partly based on Dave's experiences in the area.

A story that began when he was twenty-one and employed as a canoe guide in the Quetico-Superior wilderness of northern Minnesota and Canada. Back then Dave was often a visitor at the home of Sigurd and Elizabeth Olson. Sigurd Olson’s iconic influence on his life continued through correspondence that lasted until Olson's death in 1983. Dave still sees the wilderness through his eyes.
